Yah I agree. It's pretty warm here already too. My pastures are already going to seed and drying out bad marks

I had to turn my hot tub's temp way down so it's more of a cool tub than a hot tub for the summer lol bath

Our temps have been up and down - 50s then nearly 80, then back down again. The only thing constant is rain. This has been the wettest Spring in years, and in the top 15 since records have been kept. Most of my yard was under water - it nearly reached the house. worry

Very wet year in the Great Lakes... Between winter and spring, we stand to gain 15 Trillion Gallons of fresh water this year. Our lakes hold 21 percent of the world's fresh water.

Cali got a lotta rain and snow this winter/spring, too. There's a dam not far from here (Orroville Dam) that suffered some major damage to it's emergency spillway from all the torrential downpours and... the whole dam may burst/blow out/fail. (220K were evacuated, earlier this Spring). The gov't is screwing around with getting it fixed, and/or funded to be fixed, of course. The politicians and engineers have been bickering back and forth and also looking for who's to blame (financially liable) for months with only a bandaid fix (half-assed patch job) on it so far. If it does fail the water behind the dam will completely take out a LOT of homes, farmlands, crops etc and demolish a few small towns. With this extremely warm weather and sun already cooking us down here I imagine the snow pack up in the mountains is melting fast, making everyone below the dam and in it's flood plain extremely nervous again! Luckily I'm at a safe elevation, well above the flood zone.

We've been following that broken spillway news for a while, but didn't know they were messing it up this badly!

There's a lot of Youtube videos on it, with kickass drone footage showing the damage and construction (or lack there of). Local residents are not letting the gov't or the local news cover up any of the dirty little secrets, lol. And no, I don't shop down below shopping

It was in our newspapers! Rather spectacular of course, we don't have dams like that here. We may have the "oosterscheldekering" (sea water barrier) but that's nowhere near the same.
