Event Basics

The special event playfield consists of 200 1x1 spaces. When you enter the playfield for the first time, 40 1x1 spaces are available for planting event crops.
There are 2 event crops and 1 drop item:
grow and donate Chocolate Roses to the Little Helpers to unlock more land (divided into 4 parts) and receive extra rewards.
grow Rainbow Corn and collect Skewers to mill Grilled Rainbow Corn and donate it to the Parents to earn rewards.
Any extra Grilled Rainbow Corn can be donated to Endless Rewards to earn the new Crate O' Shiny Things.

Comfort Fields cannot be used on the event playfield.
Crafting products (e.g., Carrot-Apple Chutney, Pumpkin Jam) and fertilizers (e.g., super-grow, manure) do not work on the event playfield. The only buffs that can be used are:
water to speed up crops
Pastry Pancakes (special bonus from event basket purchases) to increase the number of crops per plot.

I think I will skip. I am not interested in the cloud row nor the items.  Although the quest gives interesting rewards. 

for now... carnival queen gets priority.

Carnival queen is my priority as well.  Still working on the last float.  One day my Queen will come.  

I'm haphazardly trying to do Parent's Day event. It's snore/bore waiting for choco roses to open space!!!! I have gotten skewers as drops already.

There is a +1 crop bonus tomorrow. So we can make use of it with the Fruity Pancake for Rainbow harvest. Convert all fields to 1x1, plant rainbow corns and while harvesting activate the daily login bonus + Fruit Pancake. That's what I am planning to do. I have the last part of the field to unlock and I will do it today. So I can make the maximum use of bonuses of  +1 +1 for rainbow corn.

As someone said before Fruit Pancake works only for Rainbow Corn and not for chocolate roses

Unfortunately the +1 bonus will not work on the event field...

I'm more worried about getting the animal pens in the quest :))

Thanks 12ss12 for the reminder of the +1 harvest bonus!!! With all the excitement of extra hours for the Queen, I completely forgot about the bonus gift!!! Too bad it doesn't work on the event field.....but oh well.

I just did 3 steps in the temporary quest and 1st step of 4th and 5th level. I shouldn't have done that too. I did it without thinking. It requires too much of event crop. With that amount of event crops for 4th and 5th level, I can mill more mill item and get more of that box item. SO left the FSQ unfinished and concentrating on milling.
