Products
O wise forum of even wiser farmers (and other gardeners as well)
Some products are useful, others are purely for the quest and the odd events. Which are the useful ones ?
Egg (artisan, feed)
Cow milk (artisan)
Paint pallet (artisan)
Are there others ? Or can my goat diary go into retirement once the product quest is done?
oh, and are some products needed in other quests than their dedicated one ? Do I need to do a google sheet with quests ?
I await your wisdom Thank you heaps in advance

Re: Products
I used a TON of Goat Milk for MOS (7500 TEP) and PAC (+25% harvest on Baha crops and trees), tho in my market it's cheaper to buy the Goat Milk than produce it. My Goat Dairies have years of dust on them lol.
Down Feathers, Angora Wool, Guano, Sheep's Wool, Ostrich eggs, Parrot Feathers, Peanut Butter, Riding Lessons, Timber, Truffles are also used in artisan crafting.
As for other FSQs that require products... haven't paid much attention. I do know there are at least a couple Baha quests that need Peanut Butter tho, which I am slowly plugging away at. I dislike producing Peanut Butter and buying it is even worse lol.
Hopefully others will chime in with more info.

Re: Products
should have guessed it, my hopes of parking those pens when done would be to simple and easy. Never thought productions were used in events, so thanks Tookie - need to make some honey now. So far I'm ignoring all artisan that only gives EP/TEP buffs, or drops of sugar etc, just doesn't seem worth the effort. Could be I could get off with parking at least some.
Thanks for the feedback, much better learn from the wise and old

Re: Products
Moraine, check your market first.
Goat diary takes 1 goat feed and 2 goats
In my market goats are at 1000, and goat milk at 1200.
Your market mght me similar, so grow goats instead of goat milk.
Actually grow something that's expensive and sell it to buy goat milk.
I haven't had workshops in a very long time, so Im not sure which ones are profitable.
I would say none!
someone can prove me wrong?
PS: I guess very few Red/pink workshops might be profitable

Re: Products
Not trying to prove you wrong on the CC aspect of production, my market tends to have similar prices for production inputs as the outputs on most products (buying goat milk is a steal in my market too, must be over produced.)
However, the act of production also gives T/EP's necessary to leveling up and the items and access gained that way. Whether production is worth it for you probably depends on where one is in the game, and your objective: the need to plug away at attacking the next level/expansion vs. accumulating massive amounts of stuff to attack the next event.
For the routine time, I have an Orange bikini workshop going that generates 792TEP/16 hours on 2x2. Sure, I have some XXL trees with a higher TEP density but I can't cover the field in them. So, this is the next tier down.
My market sets bikinis about 4100 CC and inputs about 4000CC. Generating and selling the inputs and buying the output I would be out 500CC and 792TEPs vs. running it all on-farm and keeping the bikini. But, of course, why would I want the bikini? Instead, I could just sell the inputs and pocket the net 3600CC and about 400TEP from generating the inputs - or - produce the bikini, sell it, and net 3690CC and the 400+792TEPs (risking 410CC on the no-sale.) Or, buy the inputs and run the production: 4000CC->792TEP - that is a fair ratio in my book. I find CC's are the easiest thing to come by in the game. I haven't tracked all my CC's generated but I would say roughly over 6 CC to 1 EP. So, if I'm outside an event and I can produce TEPs at about 5CCs per, I will - I've got nothing else to do with the space.
As for the bikinis? I haven't even tried to market the bikinis yet - toss them into the sea for all I care - or even better, give them to the ladies ... y'all.

Re: Products
I'm a DYI farmer, so even tho I'm interested in the market and it's dynamic - I'm not a buyer or seller. So even if I can sell goats to buy milk it's not happening. I'd lose interest, strange & annoying but true. Regardless thank you so much for the input, the fact itself is an interesting one :) And it sounds like Cylentlea got a bikini as well, at least now she got some clothes on and won't freeze. We don't want her to catch pneumonia or worse - lose her voice!
