Re: Oops, I did it again!
Thanks Brooke.
Tonya has been sick and so have her workers. Niece came over a couple of days ago sick. Sigh. That night she got really sick and was up all night. So....yep. Germs are the gift that keep on sharing. Mom just shared she feels lousy too.

Wishing you all the strength possible to endure another wave of feeling bad!
That the flu may move on quickly!!

Put em on the market and turn em into CC. At least you'll get something then.puppiesnponies wrote:I have tried to gift them to newer players too but they don't want them. Only CAC.
I remember the days when I was glad to have Pumpkin jam and grateful for any gift that I was sent. Now they just gather dust....

Re: Oops, I did it again!
Thanks Tookie. Niece was sick for 24 hours. She was frequently sick and couldn't even keep water down for about 8 hours. After that slowly was better and now is back to her normal self. So...if we get hit with it, at least it will be over fast. They have closed schools here due to flu. Everybody needs to stay home and stop spreading germs!
Thanks Decree for the suggestion.

It works, I swear lol, and it's a much shorter misery than riding it out until your body breaks the fever on it's own. Remember how mom always made ya bundle up in blankets when you were feverish and made ya sweat it out? Same thing happens with a hot bath/hot tub... it raises your core temp and speeds up the whole sweating it out process. Stimulates white blood cells to get busy, plus it helps flush out all kinds of other the nasties/toxins...

Re: Oops, I did it again!
Will a hot shower work instead?
I'm with Tookie....can't get out of a tub after hot water. Plus I don't take baths anymore because the tub hurts my tailbone and lower back. It's torture.

Re: Oops, I did it again!
I think I'd put some big thick towel under my butt in that case.... - yes, IN the tub) but indeed... In a shower one can sit on a stool or something, without not being able to get up again!
I think I'd try the hot shower. (and a hubby available to pull us up again....) ;-)
Let me tell you, "you healthy people" (wink) that when you are chronically ill, and only got about 3 spoons a day (spoon theory) to spend on activities, getting up is one, making coffee is one, and taking a shower is about 5.....
math anyone?
And then... it's about 10 in the morning.
Ps: thanks for letting me complain. It's hard to live with a lack of energy for the normal things, like washing one's self.

A shower and lots of hot tea might help PnP, better than nothing... sorry the hot bath won't work for you and your backside.
And I hear ya Tookie, I have a 3 spoon limit most days myself

Re: Oops, I did it again!
pnp - The schools closed for the flu??? Wow, that is an epidemic! I hope & pray that no one in your family gets it!!!!
As far as baths go....I take a huge, big, hot bath every day or every other. I have 1 of those really deep/wide bathtubs under a lovely picture window. I adore laying back in my tub and watch it rain or trees sway in the wind, or little birds hop around the limbs. It's my relaxing time/space. I collect bubbles, specialty soaps(my fav is a gardenia one) gels etc.
I find that I don't touch my tailbone b/c of the deepness of the water. It's truly divine!
