G'Up- where did you get your mare? how long have you had her? I thought you had just poultry (chickens, guineas and peacocks?) but perhaps I am not remembering that you have other wonderful things in your menagerie?

I have had her for almost 13 yrs. She was a rescue, sorta... came from a bad home of being a spoiled kid's pet that lost interest in her. Lived her life in a round pen and a small backyard, with very poor health and hoof care. She is double registered with both mini horse associations... she's 33.5 inches tall, so not tiny but pretty small, height-wise... not so much girth-wise LOL. She is trained to pull a cart, but I never bothered going that route with her... I figured her life was hard enough already so she can just be a happy fat pasture ornament the rest of her life with 10 acres to wander around on. Her name is Sassy... and she bosses everybody around lol.

I also have 4 BoerXPygmy goats, a BLM Burro, 2 Paint mares, a Buckskin mare and a Bay gelding too... the horses are all AQHA registered and they all came from pretty rough homes as well. I've had my Bay since he was 4, he's 29 now, the Buckskin since she was 11 months old, she is 11 now and the Paint mares are 17 and 26, and I've had them since the winter of 2012.

Plus I have an old Rotty, 2 Red Heelers, plus my 2 cats. So yes, it's quite the menagerie here lol.

Guinea - love the pony! I am amazed at all the lovely animals you have - you could open a petting zoo! Maybe you could share some photos when you have time.

I will never complain about cleaning up after my parakeet again! ghehe

Willow, unfortunately I lost an entire terabyte of digital photos when my house burned down... along with all my digital cameras. Kinda lost my obsession for taking pics since then and haven't replaced my camera yet, and my cell phone doesn't take very good pics. I only have a handful of older pics I had uploaded to photobucket, a lot of which make me cry... but I'll look thru them and find some to share worry
