Market Bargains

I couldn't find this topic in this forum, and they archived it on the other, so I hope this is the right place to start a thread.   I always enjoyed reading about the great finds we sometimes come across, and posting when I found one myself, so I thought we needed to revive it.

For years now I've heard of the fabled .01 bargains that can occasionally be found, but had never found any myself.  Then last week I was sick.  I couldn't sleep (my nose decided to be totally useless, couldn't breathe, and kept coughing myself awake ), so I decided to flip thru the market offers.  I even went to the breeding animals, which I almost never do, but sure am glad I did that night - I found a klepto crow and a convict crow for .01 each!!    I snatched them both up, needless to say.

I occasionally find a bargain too, but not thát much of a bargain. Happy you! 
I sometimes find offers of one third of the normal price, like something is normally about 30.000, and then suddenly someone puts it on for 9.000, still a nice find I think.

Just to give you 1 possible insight as to why someone might sell a breeding animal for .01, I will tell you why I used to sell breeders that low. I have a total of 4 farms. When I stopped farming my 2nd farm, I had accumulated a bunch of high level breeders for the time which was in 2011. I did not realize I could make pens out of them and then trade them during G&T so I sold them for .01. It made me feel good that I was making somebody really really happy that day. I wanted to know who I was making happy so I found a wonderful player on my market and we synchronized our timing since they were in another country, and I was able to sell a few to him/ her for .01. Now that made me really really really happy. It was a lot of effort & I felt like a cheater so I never did it again. So I think whoever placed those animals on the market for .01 knew what they were doing & you probably made them happy so ENJOY your wonderful find.

Yippee! I just got a Persian Kitty for 7M. Now if I could just get 1 more, then I would have all the Pink pens animals again.

I found 1 Persian for 6.8 million or 6.3million (clicked on it fast before someone else scooped it up) and also need  1 more.

I have been lurking on the breeding market to find Maine coons. My target price is 1.5 mill....but have been tempted by 1.7 a couple of times(you know me and shopping) LOL

Brooke - No problem about the nickname of Zen. It was my nickname in college & I like it. Plus, you know I like anything that makes spelling easier. I hope you get all the Maine Coons (sp) that you want both in the game & RL

I would be happy to adopt your Main Coon since you can't send it to Brooke's barn.

Thanks zen!!!   I now have 4 Maine Coons waiting in my barn until the next BBD. I'm also raising lots of kitties ....as my amount got very low last BBD. Trying also to build stock of bats for neons in Feb.   

@Brookeham, glad you got your Maine Coons and are ready for the next BBD 
I wasn't sure which market you were in, but thought maybe you might have another farm or friend that could have bought him for you from my market and you'd eventually get him!
