Hurricane Again!

Power and internet back early hours today!  Just barely managed to get the event done before time ran out. 
Thanks so much for the prayers!  Irma's eyewall suddenly came apart when it hit mainland Florida, and the storm strength rapidly dropped.  Major storm surge did not happen!  What a blessing!  Despite lots of wind and flooding (with loss of power and utilities of course) this is a much better outcome than predicted.

My area had rain and tropical storm winds only, losing power and telephone service for over a day. No major flooding reported, though the river should start to rise in a day or so from Georgia rains. Poor Jacksonville, along with south and central Florida, got the worst of it.

Of course the news is all about Florida right now - are the fires out yet, Brooke & Guinea?

Willow - I'm so happy to hear you are okay ....and didn't suffer damage to home etc. I'm still praying for MARLY....as haven't heard anything.

EEK....a fire broke out just a mile from our cabin yesterday. Thank goodness crews responded quickly and fire retardant was flown over by planes. OMG....I was so scared. Then in the evening a huge rainstorm came in and and covered us and the mountains!!! It was like a miracle. I'm in awe!........and very grateful!

Thanks Brooke!   I am hoping to hear from Marly as well; she is in a hard hit area.

That might not be a bad idea, to have one or two farmers stay in touch! cuz now we all constantly worry! I to am worried about Marly!

thank you guys  I'm BAAAAACK!!!!!!!!! worse week of my life    but everything has turned out good we got a lot of wind damage she ( Irma ) tried to break us but she didn't (CLOSE) but like I said she didn't succeed we just got power back today and we had to replace all our skirting on mobile home lost a lot of trees but were able to save our lemon trees and banana tree  thank you all for thinking of me and keeping me in your thoughts and prayers
