Thanks Sleepy!
My strategy for this event will be to sell manure and grow other things I need. Wouldn't mind the GBs but too much work to get to them and the other rewards just don't impress me.

Thanks sleepy for the calculator and the numbers for the GBs. My plan is to sit this one out but I may feel differently tomorrow morning after I see the drops. The GBs are tempting on the farms because only pnp has opened all of the temple.
Saw Dr this morning and perhaps the new medicine will make me feel better enough to have more interest in the game (and life) but right now, I just want to go back to bed but I just got up from a 2 hour nap and still feel like I haven't slept at all.

MSB - Thanks so much for the event info!!!
I'm with pnp! I just don't know if I have the energy for this event. We are(the whole family) supposed to go up to our cabin today for the next week. Problem is....I've hit the wall in complete exhaustion from the holiday...plus worked at store and hugely busy days afterward this week. I might give it a go....but with spotty wifi....it will be difficult at best.

Just another grow junks-and-throw. Awards poor. The way this game is headed, there is no need to grow anything but junks on occasion.
Recent events and developments confirm for me that this game has now entered the mature phase of the life cycle for online games.
Happy junks growing!

Re: The Big Bang - Event FAQ & Strategy talk
What exactly is the mature cycle of an online game? What events and developments confirm that? Is there any other cycle after 'mature' other than graveyard? Do we have a year or less in your estimation?

Re: The Big Bang - Event FAQ & Strategy talk
Online games go through life cycles just as humans do. With online games the focus moves from obtaining players until spending players are obtained. The game development continues. BP has done well with keeping the game from entering this mature phase. I do not have access to the revenue stream of this game but most streams are obvious as well as the events which periodically are designed to provide a surge in revenue source(s).
All of this information is the same as for any online game. The game is a business venture that must provide a satisfactory return to the owner(s) or ..... as I have stated several times .... the game is dumped like I would a chicken and there is quite often no remorse.
All is not lost for players though as when BP itself was acquired there was some value attached to all of BP's games and also an expected return. Typically this time of year is one which has preceded a game surge in activity in order to generate revenues. The pattern of the online game industry is followed.
There is holiday planning also. Several in the world celebrate holidays at this time of year and not all. This is known and taken into consideration. If the game patron is the cow and celebrates the holidays, BP or any there game must be creative in the search for the cow which has milk during this time period.
PnP, I can only guess without data that there are several years left in the life of this game. But I also know with certainty that this game is not the most profitable for BP and more importantly, once any online game enters into the mature phase of its life cycle there is usually no way to make it appear younger than it is. There is no online game fountain of youth.
From a purely business perspective, ALL online games are a gentle pay-to-play balancing act. I am not a doomsday-sayer but I do see the obvious. I must now stamp this game MATURE. Too serious! MATURE is a simple business classification often used to classify.

Re: The Big Bang - Event FAQ & Strategy talk
The three main fields are planted using 1x1s. Drops will drive this train as with any event. Anticipate using 20 sg, 20 ssg, 300 manure, water and junk CAC.
No exciting rewards so come what may!

Re: The Big Bang - Event FAQ & Strategy talk
Thank you broke for the explanation.
I'm saving my junk CAC for another time. The pyroblooms are pretty but I just can't summon the energy to do the event. All farms are in animals on all fields with trees on edges. Easy peasy and is exactly what I need right now.
