Santa's Secret - Strategy - Page 3 Empty Re: Santa's Secret - Strategy

Post by farmer_broke Thu Dec 08 2016, 16:03

126 pollution
from three fields growing rye, begonia and barley and CAC running

two fields now growing refined raspberries
One field with ten event junks in 1x2s  using ten water. ten sg, ten ssg, and ten poos
Balance of field in potatoes in 1x1's using no water or poo

Strategy is to produce approximately 600 event junks seeds using only water on 1/2 field
The 2 1/2 fields remaining will be used to produce other trash crops with refinements since CAC is running.

Because CAC is obtained from the junk CAC cloud row, BAHA and rainforest will remain in all camels with trees in the outlying areas.

The event will periodically be used to waste oat bread purchased on the market.  Each time wheat is run, a new oat bread will be purchased.  The +1 wheat is sufficient to cover the oat bread cost.

Oat bread is expensive for bakers to produce given the market value of the crops required to do so. This farm has thousands of oat bread and is not in the pursuit of profits or efficiency by its use. The intent now is to have rich bakers continue to produce oat bread using up there salt while at the same time clearing the market of oat bread and raising the price. This action will aid in the disposal of several hundred thousand oats.

Around 100 hats from all farms.  Mostly raspberries and barley with Magical Grove loaded with Pinks/Neons.

I got around the same drop rate as everyone else using barley and leeks on two fields.  I didn't touch my glade which is full of trees, stables and production pens, all my trees were not ready for first harvest and I still got 30 hats from the field.  I don't plan to change it since the crop requirements are easily done on two fields with CAC.

@farmer_broke do you still run the mud-pie man farm?  I used to buy mud-pie man's animal feed.  I haven't seen him around so I was just wondering, then again I haven't been that active in the market lately myself.

I got 143 Santa Hats from drops, 3 from Magic Trees and 3 more as gifts so a grand total of 149 - I'm happy with that.  Been a bit busy work-wise so I've been using comfort fields.  I planted Rose Hips in preparation on Tuesday - though I miscalculated (by about 3 hours) when they'd be ready.  red smile

No worries as the grand total of 7,000 should be achievable despite every mess up I can throw at the farm!  Have we got a "famous last words" smilie?  pc problems

I moved some Badgers, Raccoons and Tortoises temporarily from the Glade to get my first seeds started and replanted a couple of times until the Rose Hips were ready.  A bit hit and miss - no change there then!  panic

Now if I can only work out how to use the new Calculator ... only joking with yas!  Thanks Sleepy and Mir for all the hard work you have put into helping us numerically challenged.  counting

Oh, and by the way, Merry Christmas everybody!   pweeeep

Just an FYI.  All my farms were/are using 2x2s only and that is the number of drops from 2x2s.  That way I can use my manure that I've stockpiled and am creating.

It might be my imagination calm but the drop rate seems to be somewhat better - 182 hats so far and the day is barely done.

I had 1 field full of comfort fields with either roses or carnations planted (used water, manure, and super grow)..  that trophy is at 11 (I think??)  the other 2 fields have animal sheds and trees (trying to prep for the next breeding event).  I currently am converting 1 other field to mostly 1 x 1 fields for junks..
I thought I would get better results with animal sheds..   :hmz:   cry 1

@Irisa
What's the combined % of both of your trophies?
Are you moving both trophies to each field, refreshing and then harvesting?
