Re: Lie to me:
cylentlea, you are correct. I took jumping lessons many years ago and I have ridden a mule. I have not driven a horse although I did drive a pony. To my dismay, I have also gone over the fence without a horse. (He could have walked over it but chose to launch me instead.)
cylentlea, your turn!

Re: Lie to me:
CC have you ever tried riding a swimming horse?
Lea I am sure you read historical fiction and I bet you sculpt with clay getting your hands dirty and wet Anyways I rule out scuba diving

Re: Lie to me:
I've been through about 2 ft of water with a horse but never had the opportunity to swim one. Not sure I'd want to here as the water temp would not be warm enough at anytime of year.

Re: Lie to me:
I grew up as a country kid, riding horses (I've owned over 20 throughout my lifetime, so far), and I've swam my horses all my life... in rivers, ponds and the ocean. I have one big chunky Quarter Horse that I have had 23 yrs who thinks he is a speed boat, and absolutely loves the water... he swims so hard/fast he practically pushes me off of him (when swimming bareback it's very hard to squeeze your legs hard enough to stay on when the force of the water is pushing you off). Then I had an Arabian mare for 23 yrs (she passed at 30) who always hated swimming with me on her and would intentionally roll over to get me off of her as soon as she could no longer touch bottom so I had to hang on to her mane and swim with her lol.
Cali, I figured you had driven a horse... you seem like a farm wagon type of gal to me
And Lea... Not sure about the historical fiction, but I have a strong feeling you've got scuba skillz living in Fla, so I think I'm gonna rule out clay sculpting

GuineaUp is the winner!!
I do read historical fiction and I am a certified diver.
I have never worked with clay- although it seems like fun the way Meba describes it LOL
I might just have to learn :)

Re: Lie to me:
Good luck... lol
1) My forum nick/username is the name of my home based business.
2) Reptiles (snakes in particular) are my 2nd passion.
3) I still own the same hotrod that I drove back in my late teens (1988), and have raced it on a 1/4 mile drag strip many times.

Re: Lie to me:
I am going to say number 2 is the lie.
I am pretty sure you raise Guinea's
I can definitely see you racing around in a hotrod lol
I'm not so sure you love snakes ~

Re: Lie to me:
You're right Lea... guess those were too easy, lol.
1) GuineaUp... is the Guinea version of "Giddy Up" lol (cuz I raise/break/board horses here as well).
2) I abso-freakin-lutely hate snakes, in fact rattle snakes are why I started raising Guineas in the first place when I bought this place (they alert to them by raising an all out squawking/screeching non-stop ruckus and they also peck and scratch them to death until they kill them or run them off to die elsewhere)... the first summer I was here 1 baby rattle snake bit 3 of my dogs in the nose/face in a matter of 30 seconds ($1600 vet bill later and 3 swollen faced, miserable dogs), and then less than 2 months later an adult rattle snake bit my buckskin filly in the nose and I almost lost her due to the swelling restricting her airways ($2700 vet bill from that and a week of keeping her in cross ties giving her 3 different injections 3x a day... she hated me ). The only good snake is a dead snake... so between the Guineas and my 12 gauge the snake problem has been eradicated lol.
3) And yep... still have my hotrod, which was my daily driver from 1988-2004 when I lived on the coast but it's a Garage Queen now because the gravel road in and out of here just to get to pavement is awful (so I drive a lifted Dodge Ram 4x4 lol).
Your turn again Lea!

Re: Lie to me:
What a great car Guinea-
I think I'm going to skip this turn, as I think we are the only ones playing lol
If someone else wants to have a go at it, that would be wonderful :)

Re: Lie to me:
Let's go with something that's not a variation on the theme.
1) I am a certified scuba diver.
2) I like snakes.
3) I raise chickens.

Not correct. I did my scuba at the local YMCA and dove in a quarry lake for my cert. (This was years ago.)

Re: Lie to me:
That's awesome, a fellow diver!
I haven't been in awhile.
The last time for me was in the keys, diving for lobster during lobster season.
We only got 1 as we were too early in the season
But it was still fun :)
The reefs are sooo beautiful! And my son got to swim with a very large sea turtle.
Was really cool to watch ~
