In order to get the crate you need to do until step 9.
On the way there you will get the base item plus 4 improved items.

No, to get the crate you only have to do 7 levels
Not 9.   ( I think) lol

1st improvement in 3
2nd improvement in 5
3rd improvement in 7
AND 4th improvement in 9 (which gives the crate)

They say you can finish the event in one round which is 7 steps.
If it takes 9 steps to get the crate than you do not finish in 7 steps.
That is false advertisement.  just sayin lol

The event is crazy expensive   so expensive I think I can overcome my FOCD and not finish it. But we'll have to see what happens 

At any rate I will do the 3 first steps, get the base item and one upgrade. It only takes 155 basic camels. I expect the base item and upgrade will be tradeable next G&T. Then one can either try to get more upgrades or trade the upgrade away. I am sure many will want to trade for an upgrade, so they might prove very valuable come G&T. I'll certainly be looking for more upgrades. 

Important: If you consider trading away upgrades, do not put them out on your land. The upgrade might stick to the base, and then you can't trade it!!!

Beginning to think seriously about working the entire event.  Here's the insanity:

NO camel breeding whatsoever.

The farm just goes to market and goes on a selective shopping spree.  At present the price for EV point is nearly the same on this market.

Now to find a way to justify spending the tens of millions.

I have no camels and will do no breeding. I have all I need in my barn and was planning to do 9 steps to get the camel giving pf. 

Hmm trading the upgrades made me wonder if it is possible to put a let's say level 6 upgrade onto a level 3 upgrade. Anybody know that? If so those upgrades can be like gold at G&T

Finished the event on both farms all the way to the last level.
I will probably be able to finish that level too before event end.
Did not use much power feed but did use all my 2500 camels plus some breeding camels.
This event was very costly as I have gone from 40 million ccs to under 3 million lol
Camel food and breeding camels.  Its OK I can make it all back!!
Off to sell a whole lot of pheromones :)
